Jubiläumswochenende: Auf Anfang
Wir Feiern zwei jahre Kino & Krawall! Von 2.- 4. Februar 2024 findet im Stadtkino Wien unser Jubiläumswochenendestatt! Unser erstes eigenes kleines Filmfest Auf Anfang steht ganz im Zeichen des jungen Films – von Debutfilmen renommierter Filmemacher:innen, aktuellen Kurzfilmen, bis hin zu Guilty Pleasures aus unserer Jugend.
We celebrate two years of Kino & Krawall! From 2.-4. February 2024, our anniversary weekend will take place at Stadtkino Wien! Our first small film celebration Auf Anfang is all about young film - from debut films by renowned filmmakers and current short films to guilty pleasures from our youth.

To The Beginning
Während wir als Kino & Krawall selbst noch am Anfang stehen, wollen wir eine Verbindung zwischen etabliertem
Film und neuen Stimmen schaffen.
Wie bei unseren regelmäßigen monatlichen Screenings,
soll auch dieses Wochenende eine bunte Mischung aus Filmen, Gesprächen und Partys werden.
Wir starten am Freitag, 2. Februar 2024 mit einer krawalligen Eröffnung im Kino undanschließender Party.
Die nächsten zwei Tage widmen wir uns ganz den Beginnings – sowohl Erstlingsfilme, Kurzfilme als auch eine Prise
Nostalgie sind im Programm.
Wie immer haben wir nichts zu verlieren, außer unserer Langeweile – wir sehen uns im Kino!
While we as Kino & Krawall are still at the beginning ourselves, we want to create a connection between established film and new voices.
As with our regular monthly screenings, this weekend will also be a colorful mix of films, talks and parties.
We start on Friday, February 2, 2024 with a riotous opening in the cinema and followed by a party.
The next two days will be dedicated entirely to Beginnings - both
first films, short films and a pinch of nostalgia are in the program.
As always, we have nothing to lose but our boredom - see you at the movies!

Krawall
Krawall ! Was wäre passender, als den Eröffnungsabend unter das Motto unseres Namens zu stellen? Mit City of God starten mit einem Knall in das Wochenende. Aufgespannt als generationenübergreifendes Epos, erzählt durch die realen Geschichten einer Gruppe von Jugendlichen aus den brasilianischen Favelas,
thematisiert der Film Gewalt und ihre langwierigen Folgen in einer zerrütteten Gesellschaft.
Nach dem Film geht es für uns alle dann ins Celeste zur bislang größten Kino und Krawall Party! Freut euch auf einen Bunten Mix von Pop, Techno, Trash & vieles mehr, gesponsert von DJ Ambo, DJ Rich Parents und DJ Hackemann.
Krawall ! What could be more fitting than to give the opening night the motto of our name? City of God kicks off the weekend with a bang. Told as an intergenerational epic through the real-life stories of a group of young people from the Brazilian favelas,
the film addresses violence and its long-lasting consequences in a broken society.
After the film, we'll all be heading to Celeste for the biggest Kino und Krawall party yet! Look forward to a colourful mix of pop, techno, trash & much more, brought to you by DJ Ambo, DJ Rich Parents and DJ Hackemann.

Der Samstag steht unter dem Motto Anfänge: Erstlingsfilme von Kinogrößen, gepaart mit brandneuen Kurzfilmen junger Filmschaffender.
Wir freuen uns ganz besonders auf die Filme aus unserer Community!
In kindlich-träumerischen und schwarz/weiß-sachlichen Bildern zeichnet Marjane Satrapi in Persepolis ihre eigene Geschichte als Geschichte des Irans zwischen politischer Desillusionierung und hoffnungsvollem Aufbegehren nach.
Diese dokumentarische Coming-of-Age Geschichte fragt danach, was Revolution in einer globalen Welt bedeuten kann und welche Rolle wir jeweils darin spielen können.
Mit Ihrem Debütfilm RAW geht Julia Ducournau auf Konfrontationskurs mit dem Publik: Du bist, was du isst!

This documentary coming-of-age story asks what revolution can mean in a global world and what role we can each play in it.
With her debut film RAW, Julia Ducournau goes on a confrontation course with the public: You are what you eat!
After the films, join us at Schikaneder where we will round off the evening with drinks and music.

Wir Starten den Tag mit einem Film Quiz von unseren Freunden bei CINEMA NEXT.
Mit Die Wilden Kerle trotzen wir dem letzten Wintermonat mit einem Ein Stück Sommerloch-Vergangenheit. Ein Film für all die Fußball(un)interessierten, die Mädchen doch gar nicht so doof finden. Premiere hatte der Film damals nur im Fernsehen. Höchste Zeit fürs Kino finden wir!
Was wäre ein nostalgisches Filmprogramm ohne einen schnulzigen High-School Film? 10 Things I Hate About You ist DIE Teenie-Komödie schlechthin. Soundtrack und Ausstattung sind dabei eine richtige Zeitkapsel der 90er! Outfit und Playlist-Inspiration vorprogrammiert!
